Process Engineer

Reports to:Sr. Process Engineer

The Graduate Process Engineer works as part of the Process Design team to carry out both basic and detailed process design and engineering, technical review of client specifications and Vendor calcs and support during sales, engineering and procurement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conversant with Process Design calculations Including equipment design, Hydraulic calculations, Datasheet preparation, simulations, Line List and Utility List preparations, Blowdown and PSV calculations

Should be able to prepare PID, PFD, and design documents like Blow down, hydrate formation studies, Heat and Mass Balance, CE diag, Alaram and Trip, Operating, Control and Safeguaring Philosopies and Narrative etc under team leader

Review of vendor documentation.

Execute tasks in line with Jord procedures in a timely manner

Perform special tasks as assigned

Execute process plant pre-commissioning / commissioning on site as required

Skills and Experience:

A degree in chemical engineering from a reputed college, preferably IITs, NITs, RECs

At least 3 to 5 years of working experience in process engineering activity

Experience in the areas of Oil Gas, Refineries, Petrochemicals, Chemicals will be an added advantage

Technical competence in the unit operations of separation, heat transfer, mass transfer and especially fluid transfer, AND Equipment Design and Control

Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft office programs especially MS Excel

Familiarity with various international design standards like API, Shell standards will be added advantage

Have strong analytical skills

Must have excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written

Must possess the ability, knowledge, skills and experience to work with others throughout the organization

Be attentive to detail, and be should be able and willing to perform the tasks within specific period
