Process Design & Proposals

Job Description

Responsibilities: Requirement Analysis & Understanding: Collaborate closely with the sales and business development teams to thoroughly understand client needs, project specifications, and functional requirements. Participate in client meetings (virtual and on-site) to gather detailed information and clarify scope. Process Design & Solution Architecture: Conceptualize, design, and optimize processes or technical solutions based on client requirements, industry best practices, and company capabilities. Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), equipment layouts, and other relevant engineering drawings as required. Perform necessary calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate proposed designs (e.g., mass and energy balances, equipment sizing). Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates for proposed solutions, including raw materials, equipment, labor, engineering, installation, and other project-related expenses. Work with procurement and operations to obtain accurate costing inputs. Technical Proposal Development: Author comprehensive and persuasive technical proposals that clearly articulate the proposed solution's scope, methodology, technical specifications, performance guarantees, and benefits. Ensure proposals are structured, accurate, and address all client requirements. Commercial Proposal Preparation: Assist in preparing the commercial aspects of proposals, including pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions, in coordination with finance and sales. Ensure alignment between technical and commercial proposals. Collaboration & Coordination: Liaise effectively with internal engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, civil), operations, project management, and sales teams to gather necessary inputs and ensure alignment. Participate in internal review meetings to refine designs and proposals. Presentation & Client Communication: Assist in preparing and delivering technical presentations of proposals to clients, addressing their queries and concerns. Act as a technical expert during client discussions and negotiations. Market & Technology Research: Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, new equipment, and competitive landscape relevant to process design and solutions. Risk Assessment: Identify potential technical, operational, and commercial risks associated with proposed designs and projects, and suggest mitigation strategies. Documentation & Standardization: Maintain organized records of all proposals, design documents, and client communications. Contribute to the development of standardized templates, costing models, and best practices for proposal generation. Communication (Local Emphasis): Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. Fluency in Marathi and Hindi is beneficial for interacting with local vendors, site personnel, and some clients. Excellent English proficiency is essential for technical documentation, proposals, and broader business communication.
