The Pet Insurance Claims Assistant will be responsible for processing pet insurance claims accurately and efficiently at various stages. The role requires attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills to handle claim submissions, verify information, and communicate with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate passion and accuracy in processing pet-related claims while adhering to the company’s guidelines.
1.Review and process pet insurance claims according to policy terms and conditions.
2.Verify the accuracy and completeness of claim submissions, including medical records and invoices.
3.Communicate via email with policyholders, veterinarians, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary information.
4.Determine coverage eligibility and calculate reimbursement amounts.
5.Maintain accurate records of all claims processed.
6.Collaborate with team members to enhance claims processing procedures and efficiency.
7.Stay updated on changes to processes and ensure compliance while processing claims.
8.Be proactive in learning new processes and initiatives for continual improvement.
1.Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2.Good typing skills (30-40 words per minute).
3.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
4.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5.Proficiency with computer applications like MS Office.
6.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
7.Passion for animals and providing excellent service to pet owners.
Previous experience in insurance claims processing or veterinary practice.
