Organization Overview:

Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Academic Leadership:

    Lead the formulation and implementation of academic policies, curriculum frameworks, and pedagogical strategies (including Maker-Centered Learning and Design Thinking) for the School of Engineering and Technology and the School of Science and Computer Studies, specifically within CS domains.
  • Administrative Governance:

    Oversee the daily operations, faculty management, and resource allocation for the Computer Science and allied departments to ensure operational efficiency and high standards of teaching.
  • Research and Innovation:

    Drive a culture of research excellence, supervising Doctoral programs (Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering/Computer Applications) and fostering centers of excellence in AI, Data Science, and emerging technologies.
  • Accreditation and Quality Assurance:

    Ensure all programs meet national and international standards (UGC, AICTE, NAAC) and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Industry Collaboration:

    Strengthen industry-academia linkages to enhance student employability, internships, and consultancy opportunities in the technology sector.

Mandatory Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree:

    B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science or allied technical branches.
  • Masters Degree:

    M.E. or M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Data Science.
  • Doctoral Degree:

    Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Data Science.

Required Experience and Age Criteria

  • Post-Master's Experience:

    Minimum of 18 years of experience after obtaining the relevant Engineering Master's degree.
  • Post-Doctoral Experience:

    Minimum of 12 years of experience after the award of the Ph.D.
  • Leadership Experience:

    Minimum of 2 years of experience working at a senior academic leadership level (such as Dean, Director, or Head of Institution) in a university or a reputed autonomous College/Institution.
  • Age Limit:

    Candidates must be between 50 and 64 years of age (preferably below 60 years).

Specific Exclusions

  • Candidates holding a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Liberal Studies, Languages, Management, Law, Architecture, Pure Sciences, or Arts will not be considered.
  • Candidates with non-engineering backgrounds, including MCA (Master of Computer Applications) or BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications), or any Non-Engineering Bachelor's or Master's degree other than the specific technical fields listed above, are not eligible for this position.
