Printing Machine Operator

As a Printing Machine Operator, your main responsibility will be to set up and operate printing machines. This includes adjusting machine settings, managing print runs, and ensuring color accuracy. You will also be in charge of inspecting printed materials for quality and accuracy, checking for color consistency, print clarity, and adherence to specifications. Routine maintenance and troubleshooting of printing equipment will be a crucial part of your role. You will need to perform regular maintenance tasks, troubleshoot any issues that arise, and ensure that the equipment is functioning properly. Preparing machines for printing, such as installing printing plates, loading paper, and adjusting the press to the paper size, will be part of your daily tasks. You will also be responsible for managing materials, ensuring that paper and ink meet specifications, managing ink flow, and maintaining inventory levels. Throughout the printing process, you will need to monitor the operation closely and make adjustments as needed to manage ink distribution, speed, and temperature in the drying chamber. Additionally, you will be expected to address any paper tears or jams that occur during the printing process. Keeping detailed records of print jobs, including production totals and any issues encountered, will be essential for tracking job progress and ensuring quality control. Safety is a top priority, so following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work area is mandatory. Collaboration with prepress and finishing teams, as well as other team members, will be necessary to ensure smooth workflow and job completion. In some cases, you may also be required to perform digital, electrostatic, and inkjet printing tasks, including transferring files, blending colors, and proofing images electronically using digital presses. This is a full-time position that may require working day shifts, morning shifts, or night shifts. A yearly bonus may be provided based on performance. The work location is in person, where you will be actively involved in the printing operations.,
