Description
Key Responsibilities: Machine Operation: Setting up and operating printing machines, including adjusting machine settings, managing print runs, and ensuring color accuracy. Quality Control: Inspecting printed materials for quality and accuracy, including color, print clarity, and adherence to specifications. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and resolving issues with printing equipment. Job Preparation: Preparing machines for printing, installing printing plates, loading paper, and adjusting the press to paper size. Material Management: Ensuring paper and ink meet specifications, managing ink flow, and maintaining inventory. Monitoring and Adjustments: Monitoring the printing process, making adjustments to manage ink distribution, speed, and temperature in the drying chamber, and correcting paper tears or jams. Record Keeping: Keeping detailed records of print jobs, including production totals and any issues encountered. Safety: Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Collaboration: Collaborating with prepress and finishing teams and other team members. Digital Printing: In some cases, operators may also perform digital, electrostatic, and inkjet printing, transferring files, blending colors, and proofing images electronically using digital presses.
