Principal Software Engineer

As a Principal Software Engineer at UKG, your primary role will involve designing solutions to meet global customer interfacing requirements with UKG's products. This includes creating various repeatable and highly configurable Boomi integrations and BPM Activiti workflows, as well as developing automated test scripts for testing these integrations. You will need to have in-depth knowledge of Boomi and familiarity with related tools like Postman to create customized solutions efficiently. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing clean, maintainable, and efficient code for software applications and systems - Driving technical strategy and vision for major projects, ensuring alignment with business goals - Leading cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-impact software projects on time and within budget - Architecting, designing, and developing complex software systems and applications with high performance, scalability, and reliability standards - Solving complex issues with innovative solutions and setting precedents as needed - Impacting the achievement of area/group objectives by developing team policies, procedures, and techniques - Ensuring the health and quality of services and incidents, proactively identifying and addressing issues - Advocating for and implementing best quality practices and guiding the team in maintaining service quality - Providing technical mentorship and guidance to foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement - Developing and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for software applications and systems - Staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and productivity enhancement within the team Qualifications required for this position include: - Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field - 8-10 years of industry experience, with minimum 5-6 years on Boomi in actual production projects - Experience in designing and developing integrations using Boomi AtomSphere integration platform - Excellent knowledge of API management concepts, Rest API, SOAP framework, XML, and web service design - Basic java programming knowledge, with advanced backend java development experience being an additional advantage - Detailed analytical and logical reasoning skills and the ability to break down business requirements into technical specifications - Excellent oral and written communication skills in English - Ability to prioritize tasks, handle parallel executions, and work effectively in a cross-geographical team Additionally, experience with Boomi external certification, Activiti BPM, HCM domain knowledge, UKG product functional experience, Groovy scripting, NeoLoad, Java, JavaScript, PostgresSQL, and various testing tools is highly desired.,
