Principal Software Engineer

Role Overview: OpenText is looking for a highly skilled individual to join their team in the role of a Java Full Stack Developer with expertise in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM). As a member of the team, you will play a crucial role in managing the core application lifecycle, from requirements through deployment, and contribute to the development of modern applications using cutting-edge technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Possess good hands-on technical skills in Java full stack development utilizing Spring Boot, REST API development, Database Systems, and UI Technologies like ReactJS - Demonstrate profound database knowledge with experience in Oracle and PostgreSQL, with a strong advantage in PL-SQL - Showcase expertise in building scalable, distributed applications using cloud technologies such as AWS, microservices architecture, etc. - Lead the design, development, DevOps, and project activities while collaborating with stakeholders to drive project goals - Ability to solve complex technical problems and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision - Develop associated business cases and plans aligned with industry best practices - Stay updated on industry and technology trends, being part of organization-wide initiatives and driving change Qualifications Required: - Minimum BE CS or equivalent experience - 16+ years of product development experience using Java, Spring Boot, REST API development, Database Systems & UI Technologies like React - 5+ years of experience with Cloud technologies (e.g., AWS), DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc. - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software development life cycle - Knowledge on Gen AI and practical usage is an advantage - Experience in partnering with product and program management teams - Agile project management training and experience is an added advantage - Excellent communication and time management skills - Experience in communicating with other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements and describe software product features and technical designs Note: For any assistance or accommodation due to a disability during the application process, please contact hr@opentext.com.
