Principal QA Engineer

We're looking for a Principal QA Engineer candidate with good experience in testing and automation framework development, Rest API / Java, Selenium and exposure to Cloud-based applications to join our team in Bangalore, India location.

You will report to the Director, Development

You will be responsible for all Testing / Quality Assurance for our software operations. You will work with executives to develop strategies to guarantee the quality of software deliverables.

You will work on a broad spectrum of technologies including the latest and new technologies in the Cloud data space. You will test and critique software components and interfaces in great technical depth, write test frameworks, and programmes to assure high product quality, and develop advanced test tools using Java to increase productivity and efficiency. You will contribute to product delivery with high quality and lead customer success through R&D level support and other customer related engagements.

Technology You'll Use

Design test frameworks, automate tests in JAVA and maintain existing internal QA tools

Your Role Responsibilities Here's What You'll Do

• Design test plans and test cases based on functional and design specifications focusing on specific user stories including test cases for regression of current products
• Participate in an Agile-based development / testing environment, including reviews, testcases/document reviews and planning activities
• Participate in functional and non-functional test activities including system, stress, longevity and endurance testing
• Implement test cases/suites in using tools like Cypress, Selenium, TestNG and JUnit
• Good hands-on with Linux/Unix Operating System
• Collaborate with teams in an Agile environment
• Collaborate with engineers / peers to solve complex problems to deliver end-to-end quality in our technology and customer experience
• Assist customers and field engineers with troubleshooting issues
• Work with the engineering team in an Agile environment in delivering high quality products
• Organise own tasks and manage progress and completion

What We'd Like to See

• Experience leading a Testing / Quality Assurance team - responsible for testing full embedded software stack within a high-volume data-driven software organisation
• Experience creating an excellent testing and quality engineering process and organisation with an understanding of Hardware and Software development cycles
• Experience with the implementation of different testing methodologies and test automation tools and techniques
• Experience in software and product certifications
• Experience with different Cloud-based applications
• Solid knowledge of testing techniques to determine the appropriate number of test iterations and apply risk-based testing concepts

Role Essentials

• 7+ years of experience
• BE /B Tech. or equivalent educational background

• BA/BS or equivalent educational background, we will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

• Minimum 8+ years of relevant professional experience
