Principal I, ERP Business Analysis – IBP

IT Systems Software Analysis & Programming focuses on programming & configuration of IT Systems Software (i.e. software for use in operating/controlling hardware and providing a platform for running internal end user/business applications).

The work includes:

• Identifying and analyzing business needs, conducting requirements gathering, and defining scope and objectives for the IT System
• Developing programming specifications, diagrams, and flowcharts
• Writing code in lower-level programming languages to optimize the performance and efficiency of an organization's IT platform/infrastructure
• Configuring, customizing, diagnosing, and enhancing vendor systems software (e.g., operating systems software and utilities that manage access to peripherals, facilitate networking, manage memory allocation, manage file storage on hard drives, etc.)
• Writing diagnostic programs to test integrated software/hardware systems and resolve system faults
• Creating functional and technical documentation of systems software programs and code

Translate high level design and business requirements into IBP solutions and implement in alignment with the design and architectural standards, while meeting quality, performance and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and objectives, conducting thorough analysis of existing systems and applications to identify opportunities for improvement, providing technical leadership and guidance to teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Develop end-to-end solutions that align with business goals and adhere to architectural best practices. Design system architectures, considering factors such as scalability, performance, security and integration while collaborating with developers, functional consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the proposed solutions
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of solution architectures, including specifications, and guidelines, evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and frameworks that align with the organization's strategic objectives
• Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences effectively
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. Identify potential technical challenges and risks associated with proposed solutions. Develop mitigation strategies to address identified risks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders, to ensure alignment of solutions with organizational goals
• Define and enforce design standards and best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions. Conduct architecture reviews to identify and address issues early in the implementation process, providing leadership and guidance to the IT planning team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• 5-9 years of total experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience in SAP IBP
• Strong hands-on experience as a subject matter expert and a minimum of 2 end-to-end implementations in different IBP modules - IBP for Demand, IO, Response & Supply modules
• Strong integration knowledge including CI-DS, RTI/SDI
• Good understanding of ECC MRP planning
• Travel: Up to 10%

• Experience in working as part of agile teams and using tools like solution manager, ServiceNow, HP ALM etc.
• Experience in Implementation of Demand Planning, S&OP, Supply Planning & Distribution planning using SAP IBP
• Familiarity or exposure to SAP IBP - Response & Supply, production planning/scheduling, GATP will be added advantage
• Experience of SAP ECC master & transaction data needed for Planning
