Principal Engineer, TD Device Characterization

Role Overview: You will be working as a Principal Engineer in Technology Development Device Characterization group at Micron, where you will play a crucial role in driving technology development by focusing on advanced electrical device characterization for cutting-edge memory and storage solutions. Your responsibilities will include proposing innovative test structures and measurement methodologies, resolving complex measurement issues, and analyzing device data to provide valuable insights to the customers. Collaboration with various engineering teams will also be a key aspect of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Solve complex device problems leveraging your subject matter expertise. - Define best known methods (BKMs) for device-level measurements. - Collaborate with Global Engineering Labs (GEL) on Tester Infrastructure needs and driving enhancements to Measurement Framework. - Enable device measurements required for technology qualification. Qualification Required: - Strong background in solid-state physics, semiconductor processing, and characterization. - Expertise in operating and automating semiconductor instrumentation such as Parameter analyzers, SMU LCR meters, Network analyzers, etc. - Proficiency in software tools and operating systems like Python/C/C#/C++ Unix/Linux PJMP/JSL. - Deep understanding of device operation in memory systems including NAND, DRAM, PCM, storage class, and cross-point memories. - Highly motivated with strong data analytical skills and experience in automating data analysis methods. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
