Principal Engineer, TD Device Characterization

As a Principal Engineer in the Technology Development Device Characterization group at Micron, you will play a crucial role in driving technology development by focusing on advanced electrical device characterization for groundbreaking memory and storage solutions. Your responsibilities will include: - Solving complex device problems using your subject matter expertise. - Defining best known methods (BKMs) for device-level measurements. - Collaborating with Global Engineering Labs (GEL) on Tester Infrastructure needs and driving enhancements to Measurement Framework. - Being accountable for enabling device measurements required for technology qualification. To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications: - Strong background in solid-state physics, semiconductor processing, and characterization. - Expertise in operating and automating semiconductor instrumentation such as Parameter analyzers, SMU LCR meters, Network analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Pulse generators, Wafer probers, ATE, and bench systems. - Proficiency in various software tools and operating systems including Python/C/C#/C++, Unix/Linux PJMP/JSL. - Deep understanding of device operation in memory systems like NAND, DRAM, PCM, storage class, and cross-point memories. - Highly motivated with strong data analytical skills and experience in automating data analysis methods. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written. Education Requirement: - Masters (M Tech, MS) or Ph.D. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 10-15 years of relevant experience.
