Job Category: Full Time Job Title: Platforms Lead Engineer-L3 Job Overview: Seeking a L3 Engineer with expertise in Linux, Hyper-V, Proxmox, Servers, Storages and datacenter activities. The Platforms Lead Engineer will provide specialized knowledge to configure these systems in conformance with customer requirements; Troubleshooting and resolution of any Proxmox/Hyper-V related problems will be primary responsibilities of this engineer. This position requires coordination with the customer, as well as a variety of technical personnel with different specialized skills. The team-based environment is fast-moving and has high expectations for quality of work and turnaround times. Candidates must have extensive knowledge and experience with Proxmox, Hyper-V and virtualization technology and firmware patching along with Linux expertise. Work Location: Hyderabad Qualifications: Bachelor s/masters degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education Experience: 8+ years Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of both historical and current versions of Linux Server and Windows Server operating systems. Strong understanding of Microsoft cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure and Office 365, and other related products. Strong experience with storage products such as Nimble, Dell SC/EMC, NetApp and Hyper-converged platforms such as Nutanix, VxRack, Simplivity. Strong experience with virtualization platforms including Proxmox, VMware and Hyper-V. Advanced Storage Connectivity experience with iSCSI, NFS, FC, and FCoE. Implementation and support of backup and disaster recovery solutions. Advanced Layer 3 Networking/Subnetting Knowledge. Good understanding and experience working in Linux operating systems. Good understanding of other cloud technologies like AWS and GCP. Good understanding of various regulations compliance requirements like HIPAA, PCI, GDPR to name a few. Working knowledge of commonly used networking solutions / ability to work with network architects to help design and support end to end solutions. Work closely with multiple team members on shore and offshore. Interact and create positive business-building relationships with ISSQUARED vendors. Create and present technology solutions/roadmaps to customers based on their needs. Create solution drawings to support the ISSQUARED sales teams efforts. Collaborate with ISSQUARED post-sales engineers to assist them in deployment of the solutions being offered to customers, especially when it transfers over to Managed Services post implementation. Keep up to date on current releases and new products. Inform team members and customers of information that would be useful in their environment. Preferred Skills: 7+ years supporting IT solutions (Windows, VMWare, Azure, storage, Linux). 7+ years experience with gathering client business, technical and functional requirements. 5+ years analyzing and documenting business processes. 5+ years with IT project or program management, including leading cross- functional teams and activities.
