Principal Engineer

As an experienced engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and delivering cloud-native, scalable, and secure SaaS applications. Your primary tasks will include coding hands-on and ensuring that Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) are pushed to production within days or weeks, emphasizing speed and efficiency. You will play a key role in driving technical excellence by establishing high standards for code quality, scalability, and performance. In this role, you will be expected to solve complex problems rapidly by leveraging creativity, pragmatism, and a relentless focus on achieving desired outcomes. Collaboration with product, design, and business teams will be essential to drive innovation from ideation to product launch. Additionally, you will mentor and inspire senior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team. Your expertise should include over 10 years of experience in designing and building distributed, cloud-native systems at scale. Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Node, Java, Go, Python, or similar is required. Hands-on experience with AWS (or other major cloud providers), Kubernetes, Docker, and modern DevOps practices is essential for success in this role. You should have a proven track record of shipping products quickly and developing MVPs that evolve into production-grade systems. Strong architecture skills, coupled with a bias for action and a hands-on approach, are highly valued. Effective communication and collaboration skills are crucial as you will be bridging the gap between technology, product development, and business objectives. A passion for building systems that are not only high-performing but also meaningful for society is desirable. Additional qualifications that would be considered a bonus include experience in SaaS, GovTech, or regulated environments, expertise in security, compliance (FedRAMP, SOC 2), or public-sector technology, as well as an interest in data platforms, AI/ML applications, or citizen engagement solutions.,
