Job Description

As a Principal DevOps Engineer at NTT DATA, you will be a highly skilled subject matter expert responsible for consulting with internal clients regarding the software technology environment of high complexity. Your role involves translating business requirements into technology terms, developing complex algorithms and programming code for software solutions, and designing, testing, implementing, and maintaining software code to enable computer systems to perform specific tasks. Your primary objective is to determine how technology can be applied to meet client needs effectively. Your key responsibilities will include working closely with Platform Specialists to receive detailed business/user requirement specifications, preparing technical requirements documents and systems flowcharts, analyzing business requirements, transforming detailed requirements into systems design documents, compiling technical specifications, converting designs into complete information systems, overseeing program testing, examining program errors, assisting with implementation preparation, supporting code sets and implementations, distributing task descriptions in a production environment, assisting with post-implementation process reviews, and performing any other related tasks as required. To excel in this role, you are expected to possess extended knowledge of multi-technology application design best practices, have the ability to take holistic views of application environments, demonstrate sound problem-solving and analytical skills, possess an extended technical understanding of development and platform engineering, exhibit excellent client-centricity, organizational and planning skills, have strong communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to work well within a team environment. Additionally, you should have excellent knowledge of project management principles, contribute to the improvement of internal effectiveness, and possess extended knowledge of designing, implementing, and maintaining continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. In terms of academic qualifications and certifications, you should hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or a related field, along with relevant DevOps and Agile certifications, as well as certifications in cloud platforms and services and scripting/programming languages. Your required experience should include extended software development and support experience, deploying software solutions in an outsourced or similar IT environment, working in a multi-team environment across multiple geographies, and programming/development experience using Agile processes such as SCRUM and KANBAN.
