Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant-Tableau Admin!Key Responsibilities :1. Workspace & Pipeline Management :- Design, create, and manage Power BI workspaces for different environments (Development, UAT, and Production).- Configure and monitor deployment pipelines to ensure controlled and seamless movement of reports, datasets, and dashboards across environments.- Implement best practices for workspace hierarchy, access, and lifecycle management to support large-scale adoption.2. Access & Security :- Manage Active Directory (AD) groups for role assignments and enforce secure access to Power BI resources.- Configure Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS) to safeguard sensitive data.- Ensure compliance with organizational security policies while providing appropriate levels of access for developers, analysts, and end-users.3. Report Deployment & Migration :- Manage the end-to-end migration of reports and datasets from MicroStrategy and other BI platforms into Power BI.- Ensure version control and consistency of reports while deploying updates or enhancements across environments.- Collaborate with development teams to maintain release notes, rollback strategies, and deployment documentation.4. Data Gateway & Refresh Management :- Install, configure, and manage On-Premises Data Gateways for hybrid data connectivity.- Monitor and troubleshoot scheduled refresh failures, ensuring business-critical reports remain up to date.- Work with database teams to maintain stable data source connections and resolve credential/permission issues.5. Monitoring & Optimization :- Monitor Power BI Service health, including usage metrics, refresh performance, and capacity utilization.- Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in datasets, reports, and dashboards.- Optimize queries, model designs, and refresh schedules to maintain high-quality reporting experience.6. Licensing & Governance :- Manage Power BI licensing (Pro, Premium, Fabric/Capacity nodes) for users and teams.- Enforce governance frameworks, including naming conventions, workspace usage policies, and security guidelines.- Maintain audit logs and ensure adherence to organizational standards and compliance requirements.7. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management :- Act as the primary liaison between developers, business teams, and IT administrators to ensure alignment of requirements.- Provide guidance and training to developers and analysts on Power BI best practices.- Support business teams in adopting Power BI by enabling self-service BI within governance boundaries.8. Issue Resolution & Support :- Troubleshoot and resolve user access issues, refresh failures, and performance degradation.- Provide L2/L3 level support for Power BI incidents escalated by end-users or IT support teams.- Ensure minimum downtime and fast resolution for business-critical reporting issues.9. Audit, Compliance & Documentation :- Maintain detailed logs and records of workspace changes, user access, and activity monitoring.- Support compliance audits by providing evidence of security controls, access history, and governance policies.- Document processes, SOPs, and best practices for Power BI environment management.Required Skills & Competencies :- Strong hands-on experience (4+ years) in Power BI Administration.- Expertise in managing Power BI Service, Workspaces, and Deployment Pipelines.- Strong knowledge of Row-Level Security (RLS), OLS, and AD group management.- Proficiency in Power BI Gateway setup and refresh troubleshooting.
