Role Overview
As the Digital Business Partner for Finance at IndiGo, you will lead the digital transformation of finance operations by driving strategy, implementation, and optimization of SAP S/4HANA and Ariba platforms. This leadership role requires deep expertise in enterprise finance systems, strong stakeholder management, and a proven ability to deliver scalable, compliant, and innovative solutions while leading a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Transformation & Business Partnership
- Serve as the strategic technology advisor to the Finance leadership team, aligning digital initiatives with business objectives.
- Drive automation, standardization, and process excellence across finance domains including P2P, R2R, treasury and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor platform performance, user adoption, and drive continuous improvement.
SAP S/4HANA & Ariba Platform Leadership
- Lead the end-to-end implementation, enhancement, and governance of SAP S/4HANA and Ariba platforms.
- Oversee SAP landscape architecture including system design, integrations, and data flows.
- Collaborate with BASIS, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure optimal system performance, scalability, and uptime.
- Manage change control, transport management, and release cycles across SAP environments (DEV, QA, PROD).
- Ensure data integrity, master data governance, and compliance with SAP best practices.
- Drive adoption of SAP Fiori apps and user experience enhancements.
SAP Strategy & Roadmap
- Develop and maintain a multi-year SAP strategy and roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead strategic planning for upgrades, migrations, and new module rollouts (e.g., Group Reporting, Central Finance).
- Evaluate emerging SAP technologies (e.g., BTP, AI/ML integrations, sustainability tools) for business relevance.
- Establish governance frameworks for SAP platform usage, customization, and lifecycle management.
- Partner with enterprise architecture and finance leadership to ensure long-term scalability and innovation.
People Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor a team of SAP functional and technical experts, project managers, and analysts.
- Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
- Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and support career development for team members.
- Collaborate with HR and Digital leadership to build future-ready capabilities in SAP and finance technology.
Integration & Ecosystem Management
- Ensure seamless integration of SAP with other enterprise platforms (e.g., HRMS, CLM, BI tools).
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with SAP support and implementation partners.
- Lead cross-functional workshops to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- 15+ years of experience in digital transformation, ERP implementation, or finance technology leadership roles.
- Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance modules and SAP Ariba (Sourcing, Contracts, Procurement).
- Strong understanding of finance processes, controls, and enterprise architecture.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale digital programs and managing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- SAP certifications (e.g., S/4HANA Finance, Ariba) are highly desirable.
- Experience in aviation, logistics, or large-scale enterprise environments is a plus
