Overview The Primary & Lower Secondary Science Teacher focusing on Biology and Chemistry within the CAIE curriculum plays a pivotal role in fostering the academic and emotional development of students. This educator is responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive science lessons that inspire curiosity and a love for learning in young learners. Key Responsibilities Design and implement engaging lesson plans in Biology and Chemistry for primary and lower secondary students. Adhere to the CAIE curriculum standards while delivering instruction and evaluating student performance. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs. Utilize a variety of teaching aids and resources to enhance the learning experience. Conduct laboratory experiments that reinforce theoretical knowledge through practical application. Assess student progress through regular tests, quizzes, and assignments, providing feedback to students and parents. Create and implement innovative instructional strategies to stimulate student interest in science. Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills through interactive classroom discussions. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessment and report cards. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and stakeholders regarding student progress and well-being. Stay up to date with the latest science education trends and instructional methods. Participate in professional development workshops and training sessions. Contribute to a safe and supportive classroom and school environment. Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Education or Science-related field (Biology, Chemistry preferred). Teaching certification for Primary and Lower Secondary education. Minimum 2 years of experience teaching in a formal classroom setting. In-depth knowledge of the CAIE curriculum and assessment methods. Strong understanding of child development and learning theories. Experience in curriculum design and development. Excellent classroom management skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Proficient in using technology for instructional purposes.
