Primary Coordinator

A Primary Coordinator in a school manages curriculum, supports teachers, oversees student progress, and bridges communication between staff, parents, and admin for early grades (Pre Nursery-Grade 2), ensuring a nurturing, effective learning environment through leadership, training, and operational oversight. Key duties include curriculum design (e.g., CBSE standards), teacher mentoring, classroom observation, organizing events, handling parent concerns, and ensuring smooth daily operations for young learners. Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum & Instruction: Design, implement, and monitor early years/primary curriculum; ensure high teaching standards; support innovative methods.
• Teacher Leadership: Mentor, train, and provide feedback to primary teachers; conduct observations; lead professional development.
• Student Focus: Monitor student progress, ensure inclusive practices, foster a safe & engaging environment, manage student needs.
• Parent & Community: Act as a liaison, manage parent communication, address concerns, organize parent-teacher meetings/events.
• Operations: Manage academic schedules, resources, events (sports days, orientations), and administrative tasks for the primary section.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Early Childhood/Primary Education.
• Experience: Proven leadership/supervisory role in early years.
• Skills: Strong leadership, organization, communication, conflict resolution, curriculum development, and empathy.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Planning staff meetings and PD workshops.
• Observing classes and giving constructive feedback.
• Coordinating academic calendars and events.
• Communicating with parents and administration.
• Ensuring policies are followed and high expectations are met.
