Position Summary: We are seeking a Parts Engineer who will be responsible for the inventory or spare and replacement parts management for Aeroderivative Gas turbines globally. The candidate is an engineer with inter-disciplinary understanding of Mechanical/Electrical/ Instrumentation & Controls. The position is based in India and involves collaboration with Siemens Energy in the USA and the UK. Prior to the start of work, all the relevant tools and process training will be provided. This position would require flexibility and a great attitude towards learning. A Snapshot of your Day How You'll Make an Impact (responsibilities of role) Research Problem Reports (Typical small-scale tasks/projects requiring Parts engineering work and support) Contact OEMs & Suppliers, clearly understand what there is in their scope and what is outside the scope. Work with internal Siemens Energy groups (i.e. Supply Chain, Parts Application Engineers, and Parts Definition Engineers) to gather information on Problem Reports Prepare Datasheets/ Specification forms, Comparison sheets, need to research available for existing part in project archives in EDA portal, project folder and PLM for a detailed description of parts and systems. Need to Obsolete the earlier part if we are replacing the part clearly mentioning the difference in form, fit and function including certification details. Creation of SPIRs (Spare parts interchangeability reports) for various systems in an Aeroderivative Gas turbine project. This is extra workload and is not typical work however, we only do this at customer request. What You Bring (required qualification and skill sets) Bachelor's/master's degree in engineering in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation & controls with experience of at least 8-10 years in the oil and gas industry and/or power generation industry. Knowledge of various systems like Lube oil system, Air system, Instrumentation system, control system and hydraulic system. Knowledge of various instruments- pressure gauge, level gauge, temperature sensors, flowmeter. Experience in Gas Turbine products, Aero engine products would be preferrable. Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens control systems, Siemens AGT products and packages would be preferrable. Positive Mindset and proactive nature would be highly appreciated. Detail-oriented skills to ensure all parts of a solution come together and work as intended Proficiency with tools such asMicrosoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Salesforce, PLM2020, and OnePM. Candidates should demonstrate the ability tocollaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams(mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) and communicate technical concepts clearly and professionally. Analytical Skills:Use your analytical prowess to foresee potential issues with suggested part by OEM's. Excellent Communication & Multilingual Skills:Excellent communication skills, especially in dealing with suppliers and team members from different regions who may or may not be proficient in English. Multitasking:Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to ensure smooth operations. Methodological approach: The role's requirements and responsibilities are to be structured, systematic manner. This approach ensures clarity, precision, and comprehensiveness. Summary of the Role: Officer - Instrumentation is responsible for executing Instrument installations, automation & control system related maintenance activities on his own with compliance to all related legal & Lubrizol HSES policies and requirements under the guidance of Manager - Instrumentation. He will perform day to day routine maintenance/preventive/predictive maintenance activities during rotational shifts to support manufacturing activities. As and when required, he will perform modification, Capex & project related activities. Responsibilities / Accountabilities: - Executing preventive & predictive maintenance of process instrumentation, automation & control system as per schedule. - Maintain Calibration Lab. - Attending breakdown maintenance jobs ensuring minimum downtime and reliable solution for instrumentation, automation and control systems. - Support contractors team and vendors service team at site to execute the jobs. Supervise their work, quality & safety performance. - Understand instruments criticality and associated relevant requirements and health mapping of critical instruments. - Identification of maintenance spares & consumables required for process instrumentation, automation & control system. - Coordination for procurement of required spares/consumables in consultation with Manager - Instrumentation. - Maintain the stock/inventory of spares/consumables at engineering store. - Executing day-to-day maintenance jobs by coordination with cross-functional team. - Conducting risk assessment involved in all jobs through work permit system along with JSA (Job Safety Analysis) of non-routine & critical jobs and management of change as per requirement. - Adherence to ISO system and maintaining records and documents as per ISO as well as department functional requirements like Daily log, Equipment History Cards, Reports, MoM, Certificates etc. - Actively participate and support instrumentation function for improvement and standardization. - Ensuring 100% legal compliances applicable to department based on Factories act and other statutory bodies. - Understand & execute pre-defined procedures of jobs for compliance, good engineering practices, good Housekeeping. - Take appropriate decision during shift to ensure continuity of plant and utility operations. - Learn & understand various plant systems and conduct troubleshooting of Process Instrumentation, automation & control systems. Requirements (education, experience, competencies and specific job requirements): Education / Certification: - Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering Experience and Skills: - Minimum 05-07 years of experience of process instrumentation, automation and control system maintenance in chemical, specialty chemical / petrochemical plants. - Knowledge and hands-on experience of DCS, PLC, SCADA (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider). - Knowledge and hands-on experience in maintenance & calibration of all types of Pressure transmitter, Temperature sensor & transmitter, Flow transmitter, Level transmitter, On/Off valve, Control valve, Pneumatic system, Pressure gauge, Temperature indicator, pH / Conductivity sensor & transmitters, RPM sensor, Vibration sensors, Gas detectors, Load cells, Weigh indicators. - Knowledge and hands-on experience of Radio Shuttle, Walkie Talkie, Public Announcement system & Fire Detection system. - Knowledge and hands-on experience of Master calibrators and Automation systems. - Previous experience of working as maintenance technician/associates in rotational shift working environment of MNC or chemical company related to batch operations. - Experience of working in 5S system and handling continual improvements. - Working knowledge of English. - Computer skills: MS Office & SAP. You should be capable of handling software and hardware of ABB DCS, Siemens PLC, and Allen-Bradley PLC. Additionally, you should possess knowledge of calibration and maintenance of field instruments such as pressure transmitter, temperature transmitter, RTD, Thermocouple, Pressure gauge, and pressure switch. Experience in handling SAP and weighing equipment is also required. Furthermore, familiarity with AC drives is essential. The ideal candidate should have 5-7 years of experience for BE holders and 8-10 years of experience for Diploma holders. The educational qualification required for this position is a BE or a 3-year Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering. Your main tasks will include plant start-up and stop, loading air to the cold box, and operating various equipment following standard procedures. You will coordinate with service departments for trouble-free operation and ensure the safe start-up of individual equipment. Your duties will also involve installation, testing, and maintenance of instruments like pressure gauges, level gauges, and transmitters. Monitoring and controlling parameters in the DCS system, handling shift operations, and solving breakdown problems will be part of your daily routine. You will be required to handle emergency situations, perform chemical treatment of cooling towers, and commission rotating equipment. Ensuring consistent production schedules, timely job allocation, and effective team management will be your principal accountabilities. You are expected to have 8-12 years of relevant experience and proficiency in areas like process knowledge, planning and monitoring, safety compliance, team management, and business acumen.
