ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Review and interpret MEP drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs to ensure compliance with project requirements and local codes. Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth integration of MEP systems in the overall building design. Oversee and supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical (HVAC), electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and other building services systems. Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure all MEP works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards. Identify design discrepancies or site issues and provide technical solutions in coordination with consultants and contractors. Manage coordination between subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely procurement, delivery, and installation of MEP materials and equipment. Monitor and control project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations related to MEP scope. Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, safety standards, and green building requirements (such as LEED, Estidama, or equivalent). Participate in project meetings and report on the status of MEP works, highlighting any risks or delays with proposed mitigation strategies. Review and verify contractor submissions, method statements, shop drawings, and as-built drawings for approval. Supervise testing and commissioning activities, ensuring proper documentation, functionality, and performance of all systems prior to handover. Liaise with facility management teams to ensure smooth transition and operational understanding of all MEP systems post-completion. Maintain records of MEP works including daily site progress, material delivery, and inspection reports.
