Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Prepress Graphic Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and preparing artwork files for print production, ensuring alignment with design specifications, print processes (including gravure), and client requirements. You will collaborate closely with design, production, and quality teams to deliver high-quality print-ready files.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and Check Incoming Artwork Files:
  • Verify party input files (e.g., customer-supplied designs) based on size, design intent, and specifications.
  • Ensure files meet print requirements and brand guidelines.
  • Prepress Preparation:
  • Prepare and adjust keylines, dielines, and trim marks as per design and packaging requirements.
  • Generate and manage keyline drawings for structural accuracy.
  • Align files with gravure or other print process needs (e.g., color separation, registration, trapping).
  • Artwork Correction & Adaptation:
  • Make corrections to existing artwork as required, including color adjustments, text alignment, bleed fixes, etc.
  • Adapt designs across multiple sizes and formats while maintaining visual consistency.
  • New Design Integration:
  • Assist in developing or adapting new packaging/artwork designs into production-ready formats.
  • Collaborate with design and marketing teams to ensure artwork fidelity and feasibility.
  • Color Management:
  • Apply gravure color requirements, including spot color management and color proofing.
  • Work with color swatches and printing profiles to ensure accuracy in reproduction.
  • File Management & Output:
  • Prepare final print-ready files (PDF/X standards or equivalent).
  • Archive, label, and organize files systematically for easy retrieval.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in prepress or packaging design (especially in gravure, flexo, or offset printing environments).
  • Strong knowledge of CorelDraw, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat).
  • Experience with keyline and dieline preparation.
  • Familiarity with color separation and management for gravure printing.
  • Understanding of print production processes and requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with FMCG or packaging industries.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
