Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Design and layout electrical systems (conduits, boxes, wiring paths) in precast wall panels,
slabs, and other elements.
Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and load calculations using AutoCAD,
Revit, or BIM tools.
Coordinate with structural and architectural teams to ensure clash-free integration of
services.
Specify electrical components, materials, and fittings compliant with project and local
code requirements.
Perform design calculations for lighting, power distribution, grounding, and panel sizing.
Review and approve shop drawings and ensure timely submission for client/consultant
approval.
Assist in resolving design conflicts and RFIs during precast production and site
installation.
Support procurement by providing detailed bill of materials (BOMs).
Conduct site visits or factory inspections to ensure design implementation as per
drawings.
Ensure adherence to relevant electrical and safety codes (e.g., NEC, IEC, IS standards).
Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with drafting and QA/QC teams.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 34 years in precast or prefabricated building systems.
