Role & responsibilities

As a Teacher your primary responsibility will be to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children in their early learning stages. You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities, fostering social and emotional development, and creating a safe and supportive learning environment for children.
Key Responsibilities:

• Classroom Management:
• Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and encourages active learning.
• Establish daily routines and schedules to provide structure and predictability for young children.
• Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and age-appropriate classroom setting.
• Curriculum Development and Implementation:
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lessons that support the holistic growth of children.
• Design and adapt curriculum to meet the needs and interests of individual children.
• Foster a love for learning through creative and engaging teaching methods, including storytelling, arts and crafts, music, and play-based activities.
• Individualised Learning:
• Identify and assess the strengths, needs, and learning styles of individual children.
• Provide personalized attention and support to ensure the progress and development of each child.
• Collaborate with other educators and specialists, such as speech therapists or special education teachers, to address the specific needs of children with diverse abilities.
• Parent and Guardian Communication:
• Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians, sharing regular updates on their child's progress, behavior, and milestones.
• Conduct parent-teacher conferences and meetings to discuss individual child's development and address any concerns or questions.
• Classroom Documentation and Assessment:
• Maintain accurate records of each child's attendance, progress, and developmental milestones.
• Use a variety of assessment tools and techniques to monitor and evaluate children's growth and development.
• Prepare progress reports and share them with parents or guardians on a regular basis.
• Health, Safety, and Well-being:
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children by implementing appropriate health and safety protocols.
• Administer basic first aid if necessary, and promptly address any health concerns or emergencies.
• Promote healthy habits, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and physical activity.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. A recognised teaching certification is preferred.
• Proven experience working with young children in a preschool setting.
• Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching methodologies.
• Ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective parent-teacher collaboration.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with children and their families.
• Creativity, adaptability, and the ability to plan and organise educational activities
