Role & responsibilities

Teaching & Instruction

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons aligned with the curriculum (CBSE/State Board as applicable).
  
• Teach subjects such as History, Geography, Civics, Economics, and Political Science as per grade requirements.
  
• Use interactive teaching strategies to foster inquiry, discussion, and problem-solving.
  
• Integrate maps, case studies, audio-visual material, and real-world examples to deepen understanding.
  
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, projects, and assessment tools.
  

Assessment & Evaluation

• Conduct formative and summative assessments to evaluate student learning.
  
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, grades, and performance data.
  
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  

Classroom Management

• Maintain a disciplined, engaging, and learner-friendly classroom environment.
  
• Encourage student participation, debates, and collaborative learning.
  
• Support individual learning needs and ensure inclusivity in teaching practices.

Communication & Professional Responsibilities

• Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and concerns.
  
• Participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development programs.
  
• Uphold school policies, values, and academic standards.

Preferred candidate profile

Required

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Social Sciences, or related fields.
  
• B.Ed or equivalent teaching qualification.
  
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of modern pedagogy.
  

Preferred

• Prior teaching experience at the school level.
  
• Familiarity with digital tools, smart classroom technologies, and interactive teaching resources.
