Team Management Supervise, mentor, and support Social Studies teachers in lesson planning, classroom strategies, and assessments. Facilitate professional development and training sessions for department members. Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback. Works in alignment with Social Academic Head from Central Office. Coordinate departmental meetings and promote collaboration and innovation. Assessment and Evaluation Oversee the design and implementation of formative and summative assessments. Analyze student performance data and guide teachers in addressing learning gaps. Resource Management Manage and update teaching materials, reference books, maps, models, and digital resources. Recommend and procure additional teaching aids or subscriptions relevant to the subject. Student Engagement Organize educational trips, exhibitions (e.g., History Day, Gallery walk), debates, or Model UN sessions. Guide students in participating in external Social Science competitions or Olympiads. Administrative Responsibilities Maintain departmental records & curriculum plans. Conducts Coordination meetings, review question papers and worksheets, oversees event planning related to subject week celebration and other days observed in alignment to the subject. Contribute to school-wide initiatives, events, and inspection readiness (e.g., inter/intra school events). Strong pedagogical knowledge, especially of active and inclusive teaching methods. Familiarity with digital tools and platforms for teaching-learning and assessment.
