Job Description

The Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that fosters the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children (typically aged 2 to 5 years). The teacher plans and implements age-appropriate activities and curriculum that promote foundational learning through play and exploration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans that meet the learning needs of pre-primary students.
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment conducive to early learning.
  • Foster children’s independence, creativity, and social development through play-based and structured activities.
  • Use storytelling, music, games, art, and educational tools to support early literacy, numeracy, and motor skills.
  • Observe and assess each child’s progress and development, maintaining accurate records and portfolios.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and milestones.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and hygiene of children by adhering to school policies and child protection standards.
  • Collaborate with co-teachers, assistants, and other staff to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
  • Maintain classroom discipline using positive behavior reinforcement strategies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Montessori or Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) certification is an advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for working with young children
  • Creativity in lesson planning and classroom activities
  • Good organizational and time management abilities
  • Basic understanding of child development and learning theories

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Bhavnagar, Gujarat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

  • Higher Secondary(12th Pass) (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
