Job Summary:

We are looking for a technically skilled and detail-driven Prepress Graphic Designer with a strong background in gravure printing. The ideal candidate must be proficient in industry-standard software tools and experienced in artwork separation, color correction, trapping, and KLD/CLD creation. This role requires precision in preparing print-ready files and ensuring color accuracy according to gravure printing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Artwork Review & Preparation:
• Review incoming artwork files from clients or design teams.
• Verify artwork against size, design specs, and packaging needs.
• Make necessary corrections or adaptations to meet print and structural requirements.
• Prepress Processing:
• Perform artwork separation and manage color correction, trapping, and overprint settings.
• Handle color matching based on provided samples or print proofs.
• Ensure files are compliant with gravure print process specifications.
• KLD / CLD Development:
• Create and modify Keyline Drawings (KLD) and Cutting Line Drawings (CLD).
• Collaborate with structural designers and production teams to ensure technical feasibility.
• Color Management & Proofing:
• Match artwork to gravure color samples.
• Coordinate with production teams for final proof approvals.
• Ensure consistency of color across multiple sizes and versions of artwork.
• File Output & Archiving:
• Prepare clean, error-free print-ready files.
• Maintain organized backups and versioning for all projects.
• Deliver files in required formats (PDF/X, TIFF, etc.) for final output.

Required Software Skills:

• ArtPro / ArtPro+
• Knockern
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Illustrator
• CorelDRAW

Required Technical Skills:

• Artwork separation for gravure printing
• Color correction and trapping techniques
• Overprint setup and verification
• KLD / CLD file creation and editing
• Color matching with physical samples or print targets
• Understanding of gravure printing processes and limitations

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma / Degree in Graphic Design, Printing Technology, or a related field.
• 5 years of hands-on experience in prepress, preferably in gravure or packaging print industry.
• Strong understanding of print production workflows.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
