PowerBI Developer

We are seeking a Power BI Lead Developer to drive the end-to-end business intelligence reporting lifecycle. This role involves working closely with business and technical teams to understand use cases, define KPIs, analyze source data (from databases or APIs), design optimal data models, and develop high-performance Power BI dashboards. Strong experience with Microsoft Azure data services is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and define KPI logic and use cases.
• Analyze data from relational databases, APIs, and Azure-based sources to prepare for BI modeling.
• Design and implement efficient data models using Power BI best practices.
• Develop, publish, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Ensure performance tuning, usability, and scalability of reports.
• Collaborate with data engineers to validate data integrity and pipeline readiness.
• Perform unit and performance testing on BI solutions.

Key Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in BI development with deep expertise in Power BI.
• Proficient in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling techniques.
• Experience in working with REST APIs, SQL databases, and Azure data services (eg, Azure SQL, Data Lake, Synapse).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into business insights.
• Solid understanding of performance optimization, row-level security, and Power BI Service features.
• Preferred:
• Microsoft Power BI or Azure certifications.
• Exposure to Agile delivery and CI/CD practices for BI deployments.
