Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Power BI Developer (Fresher) to join our Business Intelligence and Analytics team.
The selected candidate will work closely with senior BI professionals and business stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain insightful Power BI dashboards and reports including regular governance activities. This role is ideal for candidates who have a strong analytical mindset, good understanding of data, and a keen interest in learning Power BI and data visualization best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design, development, and deployment of Power BI dashboards and reports.
Work with senior developers to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Connect Power BI to various data sources such as Excel, SQL databases, and cloud data platforms.
Develop and maintain DAX queries and data models to ensure accurate analytics and performance.
Support ongoing report enhancements and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Learn and apply data visualization best practices to improve business decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and Project Managers.
Participate in troubleshooting, testing, and documentation activities related to BI deliverables.
Technical Skills Required
BI Tools:
Power BI, Tableau
Data Modeling (Good to Have):
DAX, Power Query
Databases (Basic Understanding):
SQL Server, MySQL, Excel Data Sources
Cloud Platforms (Good to Have):
Microsoft Azure, AWS
Version Control (Basic Understanding):
Git, GitHub
Data Visualization Concepts Understanding:
KPI design, filters, drill-down, performance optimization
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field.
Basic understanding of data structures, SQL, and data visualization concepts.
Basic exposure to Power BI or other visualization tools through projects or internships.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
Certifications (Preferred)
Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300)
Any course completion certificate on Power BI, Data Analytics, or SQL (Coursera, Udemy, etc.)
Soft Skills
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Attention to detail and quality orientation.
Ability to collaborate effectively with teams.
Curiosity and willingness to learn new BI tools and techniques.
Time management and self-organization skills.
