Role & responsibilities

• Designing interactive reports and dashboards using PowerBI
• Writing complex DAX expressions for custom measures and calculations
• Publishing and sharing content through Power BI Service
• Configuring scheduled data refresh and Power BI Gateways, Implementing Row Level Security
• Publishing and sharing content through Power BI Service
• Connecting to various data sources (SQL Server, Excel, APIs, etc.)
• Data extraction from relational databases and external sources
• Create, modify and test various SQL queries, stored procedures and views for obtaining data from diverse source systems and platforms
• Implement ETL and other data movement requirements using SQL, SSIS
• Develops original and/or complex code in T-SQL/ SQL, create/optimize SSIS packages
• Design and develop new SQL code as part of an ETL process to support report development on PowerBI
• Develop stored procedures functions using T-SQL/SQL to automate report refresh or data views
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally communicate with others, including situations where you may disagree with people

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply
• 5+ years in analytics (Preferably with Insurance)
• Must have experience in reporting tools like PBI,SSRS and good advance SQL skills
• Good to have experience in ETL tools like SSIS etc.
• Good to have experience in MS Access, Excel, VBA, SSAS
• Good critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Strong record of achievement, solid analytical ability, and an entrepreneurial hands-on approach to work
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and presentation skills
• Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
• Is able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe
