Job Description

As an individual at Ares, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with end users and business analysts to design and develop custom Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards, metrics, and reports. Your responsibilities will include creating dashboard and reporting solutions to meet user needs, writing and editing queries using SQL, DAX, and M-Query, and ensuring adherence to project quality standards and automated deployments. You will also document all report-related activities and create visualizations for non-technical users. **Key Responsibilities:** - Collaborate with end users and business analysts to design and develop custom Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards, metrics, and reports. - Create dashboard and reporting solutions to meet user needs and requirements. - Write and edit queries using SQL, DAX, and M-Query to analyze data from relational databases, data warehouses, and data cubes. - Adhere to project quality standards and automated deployments. - Document all report-related activities including user requests, report specification, development, modification, testing, and production support. - Maintain and monitor report subscription lists and automated report generation and mailing jobs. - Create visualizations, charts, tables, and other report part objects for use by non-technical users. **Qualifications:** - Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related technical field. - Power BI certification is a plus. **Must-Have Skills/Experience:** - 3 years of experience in data modeling, report development, and Business Intelligence reports and dashboards. - Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop, Service, Dataflows, and end-to-end architecture. - Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL. - Experience with Power BI deployment pipelines and version control. - Familiarity with data security, sensitivity, and access controls in Power BI. - Enthusiastic about learning new technologies, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and time management skills. - Self-directed with a can-do attitude, willing to work in a fast-paced team environment.
