Role Summary

hands-on Power BI Architect

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement
end-to-end production Power BI solutions
Optimize slow reports, datasets, DAX, and visuals handling large and complex data volumes
Build
high-performance data models (Star Schema) and scalable semantic layers
Implement
Incremental Refresh, Aggregations, and advanced optimization techniques
Debug and resolve
Power BI performance & slowness issues
Handle
DirectQuery performance optimization
Troubleshoot
Power BI Service / Premium capacity performance issues
Collaborate with stakeholders and
mentor junior developers
where required

Must-Have Skills

Strong hands-on experience in
Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service
Advanced DAX
with deep performance tuning expertise
Expert in
Data Modelling (Star Schema, Fact-Dimension design)
Strong understanding of
DirectQuery optimization
Power Query expertise with
Query Folding & optimization
Strong SQL skills with performance-focused querying
Proven experience in
debugging & optimizing Power BI solutions
