Job Description

Role and Responsibility Details:

Must gave have relevant experience and in-depth knowledge in any PostgreSQL administration task
Should have experience on AWS RDS in setting up Postgres for redundancy across multiple regions and Disaster Recovery Planning.
A database administrators responsibilities can include the following tasks:
Perform installations and upgrades of PostgreSQL
Plan and perform DB Patching.
Knowledge of Database backups / Troubleshoot failures, query execution plans, performance tuning techniques
Define maintenance plans.
Configure / Troubleshoot Replication (BSR / xDB SMR / xDB MMR)
Set up disaster recovery
Perform Fail-over and Fail-backs
Monitor servers through PEM
Capacity planning
Script database changes
Experience with latest versions PostgreSQL EDB versions
User Administration and Security
