As a PostgreSQL Database Administrator at Pine Labs, you will play a crucial role in the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of PostgreSQL databases. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing database schemas, managing security and access control, handling backup and recovery processes, troubleshooting issues, and participating in database migration projects. Your key responsibilities will involve setting up and configuring PostgreSQL databases, designing database schemas, managing security measures, monitoring performance, optimizing queries, ensuring data integrity through backup and recovery plans, troubleshooting database issues, participating in migration projects, automating administrative tasks, and maintaining documentation for database configurations and procedures. To excel in this role, you should have at least 10 years of relevant work experience, a BE/BTech in computer science or a related field, expertise in PostgreSQL syntax and administration tools, a strong understanding of SQL and database design principles, knowledge of operating systems related to database performance, familiarity with scripting languages for automation, troubleshooting skills, effective communication abilities, and the capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Experience with Linux operating systems and PostgreSQL on AWS and OnPremises is mandatory.
