As an experienced Database Administrator with strong PostgreSQL expertise, your role at PibyThree Consulting Services Pvt Ltd will involve a variety of responsibilities: Role Overview: You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining PostgreSQL database systems across different environments. Your focus will be on PostgreSQL administration, database performance tuning, and capacity planning. Additionally, you will manage database security, automate routine tasks, and support PostgreSQL deployments in Kubernetes environments. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL database systems across development, staging, and production environments - Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning - Manage database security, including user access controls, authentication, and encryption - Execute backup and recovery strategies for high availability and disaster recovery - Monitor database health, proactively identify issues, and implement solutions - Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash for routine database tasks - Collaborate with development teams on database design and optimization - Support PostgreSQL deployments in Kubernetes environments - Provide support and maintenance for Apache Cassandra clusters - Assist with Cassandra performance monitoring and basic troubleshooting Qualification Required: - Minimum 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator across various platforms - Minimum 2 years of hands-on PostgreSQL administration experience - Strong expertise in PostgreSQL performance tuning, replication, and high availability solutions - Proficiency in Bash scripting for database automation and operations - Working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized environments - Working knowledge of Apache Cassandra architecture and operations - Strong SQL skills and database query optimization - Experience with database backup and recovery tools - Solid understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems Please note that the company is PibyThree Consulting Services Pvt Ltd located in Navi Mumbai/Pune.
