Job Description: As a PostgreSQL DBA at Capgemini, you will play a crucial role in managing PostgreSQL databases in production environments. Your responsibilities will include installing, configuring, and upgrading PostgreSQL databases and related tools. You will be responsible for monitoring database performance, addressing issues proactively, tuning databases, optimizing queries, and implementing backup and recovery strategies. With 4+ years of experience, you will be expected to have strong knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, architecture, and tools, proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL, as well as experience with replication, clustering, and failover mechanisms. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and upgrade PostgreSQL databases and related tools. - Monitor database performance and proactively address issues. - Perform database tuning, indexing, and query optimization. - Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies. Qualifications Required: - 4+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA in production environments. - Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, architecture, and tools. - Proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL. - Experience with replication (streaming, logical), clustering, and failover mechanisms.
