Your role includes having 4+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA in production environments. You should possess a strong knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, architecture, and tools, along with proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL. Experience with replication (streaming, logical), clustering, and failover mechanisms is essential. Your responsibilities will involve installing, configuring, and upgrading PostgreSQL databases and related tools, monitoring database performance, and proactively addressing issues. Additionally, you will be expected to perform database tuning, indexing, and query optimization, as well as implement and manage backup and recovery strategies.
