Description

We are seeking a skilled PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing PostgreSQL databases, ensuring their performance, security, and reliability. You will play a crucial role in supporting our applications and ensuring data integrity.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases including configuration, backup, and recovery procedures.
Monitor database performance and implement optimization strategies to ensure high availability and reliability.
Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Develop and maintain database documentation including data models, database design, and database configurations.
Provide support and troubleshooting for database-related issues, including performance tuning and query optimization.
Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet application requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

3-11 years of experience in PostgreSQL database administration.
Strong knowledge of SQL and database design principles.
Experience with backup and recovery strategies in PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as pgAdmin, Nagios, or similar.
Understanding of performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
Experience with database security practices and data encryption methods.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation tasks.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills.
