Postdoctoral position in molecular neuroscience – Jain Plasticity Lab at CHINTA, Kolkata

Position Overview:

Resources: Access to cutting-edge facilities, including two-photon microscopes and optogenetic setups.

Research Focus

• Investigate how LC norepinephrine release drives synaptic plasticity during learning tasks.
• Compare plasticity dynamics between male and female models.
• Develop novel experimental paradigms combining optogenetic LC stimulation and two-photon calcium imaging.

Experience:

• Experience in electrophysiology or optical imaging; willingness to learn new methods.
• Strong analytical skills (Python/MATLAB preferred).

Preferred

• Background in synaptic plasticity, neuromodulation, or sex differences research.
• Familiarity with stereotaxic surgery or rodent behaviour assays.
