PMO Lead

The PMO Lead is responsible for overseeing the Project Management Oce and ensuring successfulprojectdeliverywithinanorganisation.Thisroleinvolvesprovidingguidanceon projectmanagementmethodologies,establishingprojectgovernance,andimplementing processesandtoolstosupportprojectexecution.ThePMOLeadwillcollaboratewith projectmanagers,cross-functionalteams,andseniorleadershiptodriveconsistency, standardisation, and continuous improvement in project management practices.

The role requires co-ordination with the functional leadership to effectively plan & execute the strategic initiatives.

Duties &responsibilities

• PMOEstablishmentandGovernance:

• EstablishandmaintaintheProjectManagementOce,including dening its roles, responsibilities, and processes.

• Developandimplementprojectgovernanceframeworks,standards,and templatestoensureconsistentprojectdelivery.

• Deneandenforceprojectmanagementmethodologies,bestpractices, and performance metrics.

• Conductregularprojectauditsandassessmentstoensurecompliance with established standards and identify areas for improvement.

• ProjectPortfolioManagement:

• Managetheprojectportfolio,includingprojectprioritisation,resource allocation,andportfolio-levelreporting.

• Collaboratewithprojectmanagersandstakeholderstoreviewproject proposals, business cases, and resource requirements.

• Monitorprojectprogress,identifyrisksandissues,andprovideguidance on mitigation strategies.

• Apply project management principles to evaluate project performance, identifybottlenecks,andrecommendcorrectiveactions.

• ProcessImprovement:

• Continuouslyassessandreneprojectmanagementprocesses,tools, and methodologies to optimise eciency and effectiveness.

• Developanddelivertrainingprogramstobuildprojectmanagement capabilities within the organisation.

• Fosteracultureofcontinuousimprovementbypromotinglessons learned,knowledgesharing,andinnovationinprojectmanagement practices.

• Stayupdatedonindustrytrendsandemergingprojectmanagement methodologies to drive innovation in the PMO.

• StakeholderCommunicationandReporting:

• Provideregularprojectstatusupdates,reports,anddashboardsto stakeholders and senior leadership.

• Ensureeffectivecommunicationandcollaborationamongprojectteams, sponsors, and stakeholders.

• Facilitateprojectmeetings,workshops,andsteeringcommitteesto ensure alignment and decision-making.
