As a Senior Database Administrator in Navi Mumbai, India, your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Create and manage multiple databases, assisting in capacity planning. - Monitor and maintain database systems, troubleshooting problems as they arise. - Ensure data integrity, monitoring, and security by managing roles and permissions of database users. - Utilize tools like Profiler for database tuning, generating traces, execution plans, and identifying performance issues such as deadlocks or contention, resolving them effectively. - Develop strategies and implement solutions for managing backups, restoration, and replication. - Create and manage constraints and indexes to enhance database performance. - Provide support to software developers for database operations, including developing complex SQL queries, tuning DML operations, and creating stored procedures. - Conduct proactive housekeeping, archiving, and shrinking of databases to maintain optimal performance. Additionally, you will be responsible for: - Managing production, QA, and development database environments. - Creating detailed documentation, including diagrams of the database infrastructure. - Acquiring an understanding of relevant business processes, data flow, criticality, and dependencies. - Coordinating and communicating effectively with internal teams and clients.
