Job Description

As a PLM System Administrator with 4+ years of experience (with 3-4 years as a full-time PLM System Administrator), your role will involve overseeing the smooth operation of the Windchill servers. This includes system configuration, user management, performance tuning, and data security. Your key responsibilities will encompass implementing backup and recovery strategies, providing technical support, and assisting with engineering application development and workflow optimization. Key Responsibilities: - **System Configuration and Maintenance:** - Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Windchill system. - Ensure continuous operational and optimized server infrastructure supporting Windchill. - Handle upgrades, patches, and integrations with other enterprise systems. - **User And Group Management:** - Administer user accounts, roles, and permissions. - Set up and manage user groups and access controls based on organizational needs. - Configure and maintain user authentication and authorization mechanisms. - **System Monitoring And Performance Tuning:** - Proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resources. - Implement performance tuning measures to improve system responsiveness. - **Backup And Recovery:** - Manage backup and recovery procedures for data integrity and availability. - Plan and execute disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime. - **Security And Compliance:** - Enforce security policies to protect sensitive data. - Ensure compliance with industry regulations. - Conduct security audits and implement necessary updates. - **Technical Support:** - Provide technical support and troubleshooting to end-users. - Liaise with PTC support for complex technical issues. - **PLM Implementation And Support:** - Implement the PTC Windchill PLM suite. - Support PLM functionality and data availability. - Define and execute PLM data quality checks and troubleshoot interfaces. - **Server Maintenance:** - Maintain multi-site servers and ensure synchronization. - **Workflow Management:** - Create and modify workflows for processes like Change Management. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. - 4+ years of Windchill environment experience. - 3-4 years as a full-time PLM System Administrator. - In-depth knowledge of Windchill PLM system administration. - Strong understanding of PLM concepts and performance tuning. - Proficiency in Backup & Recovery procedures. - Good knowledge of PLM server configurations. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to prioritize tasks and exercise independent judgment effectively.
