Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

PLC Programming & Integration:
Develop, modify, and optimize PLC programs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.) for automation of production machinery and systems.
System Commissioning:
Install, test, and commission control panels, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and field devices for new or upgraded equipment.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
Diagnose and resolve PLC, HMI, and control system faults to minimize machine downtime. Support maintenance teams with control-related issues.
Process Improvement:
Analyze process data and control logic to enhance productivity, cycle time, and reliability through automation solutions.
Documentation & Standards:
Maintain up-to-date control logic documentation, wiring diagrams, and backups of PLC/HMI programs. Ensure all automation complies with electrical and safety standards.
Collaboration:
Work closely with production, maintenance, electrical, and robotics teams for system upgrades, interlocks, and continuous improvement projects.
Safety & Compliance:
Implement and maintain safety PLC logic (emergency stops, interlocks, light curtains, etc.) according to industry and statutory norms.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering.
28 years of experience in PLC programming, automation, or industrial controls in a manufacturing setup.
