Job Title: PLC Automation Engineer

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled PLC Programmer with strong expertise in SCADA systems and regulatory compliance to support and maintain automation systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment such as compression, coating, and tool polishing machines. The ideal candidate will be proficient in PLC programming, SCADA configuration, database reporting, and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide remote and onsite support for SCADA systems on compression, coating, and tool polishing machines.

Develop and maintain PLC programs using Ladder Logic and Structured Text to ensure optimal machine performance.

Design and implement SCADA solutions using platforms such as InduSoft, AVEVA (Wonderware), and EcoStruxure Machine Expert.

Create and maintain SQL-based database structures for reporting and system analytics.

Develop compliance reports aligned with 21 CFR Part 11 requirements for electronic records and audit trails.

Troubleshoot and resolve PLC/SCADA-related issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather system requirements and ensure smooth integration of automation systems.

Maintain up-to-date documentation for all programming, SCADA configurations, and compliance reports.

Stay informed about technological advancements in industrial automation and regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in PLC programming using Ladder Logic and Structured Text.

Hands-on experience with SCADA systems, particularly InduSoft, AVEVA, and EcoStruxure Machine Expert.

Strong knowledge of SQL and database reporting structures.

Understanding and implementation experience of 21 CFR Part 11 compliance requirements.

Ability to support and troubleshoot automation systems remotely and on-site.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environments.

Familiarity with HMI interfaces, industrial networking, and control systems integration.

Work Conditions:

May require availability 2 shift working support.

Occasional travel to customer sites or manufacturing plants may be required.
