InvestCloud is looking for a Senior Platform Support Engineer to add to our team. The
successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with a passion for computing. The role includes working on the Linux and Windows servers, gaining expertise in technologies like SaltStack, SQL, Active Directory, and NoSQL databases, and supporting desktop users with their PCs and Macs. The role is varied; you must have exibility and willingness to work hard and learn new things. Key Responsibilities: Report to the manager of Platform Support with the ability to interface with multi-disciplinary teams Serve as an escalation point for Junior members and other cross-functional teams. ¢ Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to proprietary technologies, computer systems, software, and hardware. ¢ Installing, conguring, and maintaining computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners ¢ Facilitate infrastructure and product-related tasks ¢ Manage assigned tasks contributing to Platform level projects ¢ Work to continuously develop expertise within key areas of technical operations ¢ Provide o hours on-call support as needed by following an assigned calendar ¢ Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of API proxies using Apigee Edge or Apigee X ¢ Support integration of APIs with backend services and third-party applications ¢ Participate in API design reviews and help ensure best practices for RESTful APIs ¢ Help document API congurations, proxy ows, and error handling logic Requirements: ¢ 5+ years experience in systems administration / DevOps Role ¢ Working knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu / Red Hat / CentOS are our preferred distributions) and windows Server operating systems and Microsoft Internet information server ¢ Experience with common scripting languages (Bash and Groovy preferred) ¢ Experience with common editors (Vim or Emacs)
¢ Experience managing and maintaining web servers (e.g. Nginx, IIS, Tomcat, Apache, Glasssh)
¢ Experience in DNS Administration (e.g. A, CNAME, MX, TXT) ¢ Experience working with SSL Certicate Enrollment Processes ¢ Experience with VMWare VSphere ¢ Familiarity with RESTful API concepts and HTTP methods ¢ Basic knowledge of API management platforms (Apigee preferred) ¢ Must Self-Directed, Self-suicient, self-motivated and reliable to work with minimal oversight ¢ Excellent verbal and written communication skills ¢ Organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and relentlessly prioritize ¢ Working knowledge of Linux and Windows servers is a plus ¢ Ability to work an assigned US ET or PT shift- 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST
