Role Overview: As the Platform Head for Innovation to Translation Support and Grant Management at Wadhwani Foundation, your primary responsibility will be to lead the development of a national innovation enablement system. This role encompasses three core functions: - Build entrepreneurship capacity in academic researchers by designing and scaling programs that equip them with translation and startup skills. - Develop and manage a national network of mentors, experts, investors, and institutions to support researchers in their translation journey. - Lead product ownership of the WIN Innovation Platform, collaborating with internal tech teams and external vendors to ensure its successful development. Key Responsibilities: - Design and scale programs to equip researchers with translation and startup skills, incorporating founder-readiness pedagogy, playbooks, and expert-led sessions. - Identify, onboard, and manage mentors, experts, investors, and other ecosystem partners across India to support researchers, ensuring meaningful engagement and continuous improvement. - Translate program and user needs into product requirements for the WIN Innovation Platform, coordinating with internal tech/product teams for feature development. - Build and lead a team across entrepreneurship skilling, expert network, and platform development workstreams, defining success metrics and accountability frameworks for each vertical. - Serve as the primary representative of the portfolio to WIN and Foundation leadership. Qualification Required: - Postgraduate/ Ph.D in any discipline of science or engineering. - 15+ years of experience in software product development, and entrepreneurial ecosystem building. - Experience in innovation, research translation, startup incubation, or skilling ecosystems, with familiarity in managing data-rich, multi-feature platforms and building high-performing teams. - Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills, along with proficiency in data tools, dashboards, and structured reporting.
