Description
As a Platform Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in our development and operations teams by designing, implementing, and managing our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. Your expertise in Platform, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering roles, along with hands-on experience in GCP services, will enable you to empower product teams in deploying applications efficiently. Utilizing modern DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code, and automation tools will be key to overcoming complex infrastructure challenges in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, deploy, and manage scalable and fault-tolerant systems on GCP - Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or Deployment Manager - Implement and maintain secure network architecture, IAM roles, and access policies - Collaborate with development teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines - Monitor performance and availability of GCP resources, implementing disaster recovery strategies - Provide architectural guidance and best practices for GCP-based solutions - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing - Participate in planning sessions to align infrastructure with project goals - Build reusable tools and libraries to improve team efficiency - Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards **Qualifications Required:** - Proven experience in Platform, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering roles - Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services - Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform - Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) - Familiarity with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD - Skilled in scripting languages like Python or Bash - Solid understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines - Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Stackdriver) - Comfortable mentoring junior engineers and sharing knowledge - Systematic, process-driven, and proactive in problem-solving - Personable, confident, and adaptable to change As a valued member of our team, you will be entitled to various perks including 18 days annual leave, 6 public holidays, 7 days casual leave, 7 days sick leave, access to our In-House Training Academy for development, and mental health support for your wellbeing.
