Platform Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain platform-level software using Python and ROS

(ROS1/ROS2).

• Build and integrate robotics middleware, nodes, services, and topics within the ROS

ecosystem.

• Develop high-performance modules and libraries using C++ wherever required.

• Deploy and manage applications in Linux-based environments.

• Containerize applications and services using Docker and optimize for embedded/edge

devices.

• Use Git for version control and collaborate across teams using modern branching and CI

practices.

• Implement and support cloud/edge deployment solutions for robotic and platform

applications.

• Troubleshoot system-level issues, optimize performance, and ensure reliability and

scalability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including robotics, hardware, and platform

engineers.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, Robotics Software Engineer, or similar

role.

• Strong proficiency in Python (core development, automation, libraries).

• Mandatory hands-on experience with ROS (Robot Operating System).

• Good experience in C++, including OOP, memory management, and performance

optimization.

• Strong working knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu preferred).

• Practical experience with Docker and containerized environments.

• Hands-on experience with Git and collaborative Git workflows.

• Understanding of Cloud/Edge computing architectures and deployments.

• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and system design skills..
