Platform Engineer

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Platform Engineer within IBM Client Engineering, you will play a key role in delivering unique client co-creation experiences to accelerate their digital transformation. You will be involved in all aspects of integrated solutions, from identifying requirements to making technical decisions that impact the business case. As a Platform Engineer, you will work as an integral part of cross-functional teams to realize the full potential of our hybrid cloud and AI solutions providing business value to our clients.

• Leverage contemporary hybrid cloud skills (e.g., AI, analytics, DevOps, DevSecOps, IaC, automation, security, networking, and storage) with deep industry expertise and an understanding of your clients businesses.
• Define and communicate the unique value of IBMs technology, both technically and commercially.
• Participate in client sessions that include a range of public and hybrid cloud technologies, such as Red Hat OpenShift, IBM Cloud Paks, and Kubernetes.
• Support the solutions architecture plan and be a hands-on "builder" during client-facing engagements.
• Advice on solution architecture to align with platform best practices, with a focus on our clients target environment to ease transition to deployment.
• Work with deployment teams to transition platform assets and information to provide seamless transitions for our clients.
